Overview
Medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical engineering are the core disciplines of pharmacy. They study mainly the property, structure, function, analysis, identification, and production of drugs.
Research direction
The research directions of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Engineering include the design, synthesis and analysis of newly developed drugs, application of nano technology, identification of active components of natural products, etc.
Curriculum
Undergraduate courses: medicinal chemistry, drug analysis, drug synthesis, nanotechnology, computational drug design, herbal medicine, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, medicinal latin, human anatomy, physiology, microbiology, immunology, introduction to biology, introduction to clinical medicine.
Postgraduate courses:advanced nanotechnology, drug design and development, seminar series, thesis preparation, grant application, laboratory rotation, dissertation.
