Dr. Yin is an associate professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and also a Principal Investigator at Research Center for Computer-Aided Drug Discovery, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his B.S. degree from Hunan Normal University in 2009 and later PhD degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, CAS in 2014. Shortly after, with the support from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, he had been able to carry out postdoc study at Institute of Chemistry, Technical University of Berlin from 2014-2017. After that, he had been an associate professor at Southern University of Science and Technology until June 2021.
His research interest focuses on organic synthesis, especially on highly efficient and practical synthesis of chiral functional molecules including small molecule drugs through asymmetric catalysis. He has so far published more than 25 pieces of peer-reviewed papers as the corresponding or first author, including Chem. Soc. Rev., JACS, Angew, ACS Catal., Chem.Sci and other high impact journals. In the last 4 years, he has been awarded 5 research funds, includes two pieces from NSFC. He is a recipient of Humboldt Research Fellowships(Germany, from 2014-2017), Shenzhen “Peacock Plan”(B) and the “Outstanding Youth Fund” of Guangdong Provincial Natural Science fund in 2021.
